About this conversion
Use this tool when a photo destination accepts JPG but cannot read your HEIC file. The HEIC decoder is loaded only when conversion needs it. This version does not copy camera, location or other metadata. Multi-image HEIC containers are rejected so that no additional image is silently omitted.
How it works, examples & FAQs
How to convert HEIC to JPG
- Choose your HEIC files.
- Review the preview and the output options. Choose the background for transparent areas.
- Select Convert, review each result, then download the ready files.
Example
holiday.heic → holiday.jpg. The output is a new file; keep the original if you need its metadata or other images stored in the container.
Limits and common problems
The combined image input limit is 20 MiB. Browser format support varies. Format conversion does not copy metadata; compression may retain it. Still images only.
A conservative 32-million-pixel limit also applies after decoding. Compressed size alone does not determine memory use. If a file is unsupported, the tool shows an error for that file.
Frequently asked questions
Will my EXIF data be kept?
No. This version does not retain the original metadata. Keep your original HEIC file when that information matters.
Why might a HEIC file fail?
HEIC files can contain features that the bundled decoder cannot handle. A readable extension is not a guarantee of compatibility. The error is shown for that file; other successful results remain available.
