About Converter
Converter is a local-first collection of image, structured data and subtitle conversion tools. A tool by nitores, built to make everyday format changes easier.
How conversion works
Your browser reads the files you select, creates a preview and prepares downloadable results on your device. The tools do not upload the selected file contents to a conversion server. Support depends on the file and browser; the error for one file does not remove successful results.
Current scope
The image tools are intended for still images. Format conversion does not copy metadata; compression may retain it. Data exports have explicit rules for nested values and identifiers. Subtitle exports may lose styling and positioning. Each tool page describes its limitations.
Using the tools
Keep your originals and review the exported files. Compatibility depends on the format features and the browser; conversion speed depends on your device.
