Privacy and local file processing

This notice describes how this version handles files and site requests. Last updated: 1 November 2026.

Selected files and pasted text

Conversion code runs in the browser. Selected file contents, pasted data and generated results are not sent to a conversion server. They are held in browser memory while the page is in use. Downloads are saved to the location managed by your browser.

Ordinary page requests

Loading the site requires requests for HTML, scripts, styles and any sample files you choose to load. The current version has no analytics integration, advertising scripts, account system or contact form. A public host may receive ordinary request metadata, such as an IP address.

Clearing files

Clear files removes the current input group and its generated results, including compatible output formats. Selections for other source formats remain in memory until you clear them or leave the page. Closing or reloading the page discards the application state. Files you downloaded remain on your device until you remove them.

Language preference

Automatic language selection uses the language and region settings exposed by your browser, not precise location or an IP lookup. A manual choice is stored as nitores.locale in localStorage on this browser. Choose Automatic to remove that preference. No selected file contents are stored there.

Advertising and consent

Live advertising is disabled in this version. Local ad-placement previews do not contact Google or a consent provider. Before live ads are enabled, the site must identify its advertising and consent providers and publish the relevant privacy information.

Future changes

If advertising, analytics, a contact channel or server-side processing is added, this notice must be updated to describe the actual services and handling before those features are enabled.

Hosting and requests

This site is hosted on Vercel. When you load a page, Vercel processes technical request data, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Your files are processed in your browser and are not part of these requests.
