About this conversion

Paste a JSON object or an array of objects to inspect tabular output. Nested objects can become dot-separated column names or stay as JSON text. Arrays remain JSON text within a cell. Null, missing fields and empty strings become empty CSV cells, so this export cannot preserve every distinction in the original JSON.

How it works, examples & FAQs

How to convert JSON to CSV

  1. Choose your JSON file, or paste its contents.
  2. Review the preview and the output options. Check the format limitations below.
  3. Select Convert, review each result, then download the ready files.

Example

{"id":9007199254740993,"code":"00123"} becomes a row containing 9007199254740993 and 00123. A spreadsheet may still reinterpret these cells when it opens the CSV; import identifier columns as text.

Limits and common problems

The tool accepts one data file up to 10 MiB. Review the result before importing it into a spreadsheet or another application.

An invalid record or ambiguous column layout stops the export. Correct the input before trying again; no invalid record is silently discarded.

Frequently asked questions

Are long identifiers rounded?

The JSON reader retains numeric tokens for CSV export. It does not first convert every value into a JavaScript number. Spreadsheet import remains a separate step that may alter displayed values.

What if two nested fields map to the same column?

The converter reports the collision. Choose Keep nested values or rename the conflicting fields before exporting.
